Introduction

A search warrant is a document signed by a judge allowing police officers to search for listed items at a time and place set forth in the search warrant. Each warrant must specifically and accurately describe the place searched and the items to be seized. If the warrant does not describe the place and items at all, or if the place and items are not set forth with sufficient particularity, the mistake is deemed to have been objectively reasonable.
